Tagua Seed Shark Tooth Necklace

Gorgeous brightly coloured necklace, hand made using Tagua seed pieces.

In the heart of the Amazon grows a special tree called the Tagua, or ivory palm. For centuries the Tagua nut has been used to make buttons, jewellery and other carved items. The nuts are harvested and then dried for 3 years, before being cut into managable pieces and polished and coloured with natural dyes.

Approx 65cm maximum length, adjusts with a slip knot. Exact colours vary.
